1st and 2nd Grade CLUE Field Trip Information
Just a reminder…
The 1st and 2nd grade CLUE students will
be going to the Memphis Riverboats and Mud Island on Thursday, May 15, 2014, from
8:35-2:30. While they are there, students will take a riverboat ride, explore
Mud Island, have a picnic lunch and race their boats in the CLUE Regatta. The race will take place in the Mississippi
River replica located at Mud Island.
What should my child have for the field trip?
Please make sure your child is prepared to be outside all day.
- · If you choose to put sunscreen on your child, please do so before the field trip. If you would like them to reapply during the day, please send the sunscreen with your child to reapply as needed.
- · All students should bring a beach towel for the picnic and to dry off from playing in the water at Mud Island.
- · Dress- Students may wear shorts, spirit shirts, and shoes that can get wet and will dry quickly. Students may choose to wear shorts that will dry quickly (such as board shorts) instead of uniform shorts, but that is up to the parents/students.
- · Lunch- Your child should have a packed lunch for the field trip. They may also want to have an extra snack and a water bottle for the day.
- · Souvenir money- your child is welcome to bring money for the gift shops and for the snack bar, but they are responsible for keeping up with it.
- · Booster seat- All students will need a booster seat. There are 63 students going on this trip, please be sure that your child has a booster seat with them… there are only a few spare ones at Campus School.
